We'd all like Christmas to be the time when children can wake up excited to see what Santa's left them under the tree. We'd like to get the family together to have a big celebratory meal and then watch the older family members fall asleep while the children carry on playing with all the presents they've got.
We wish this was how many of the children we support experience Christmas, but it's not! Some of our children won't get gifts this Christmas unless we help. This is the third year we've run this campaign and we know our parents and children really appreciate the support that people give. We are looking to buy 200 presents for children in Hackney and Peckham which we will give to the parents. They can choose to say they're from us, from them or from Santa. The important thing is each of these children will experience some of that positive glow that exists at Christmas.
